Privacy Policy

Portify collects what it needs to run your account and your portfolio. It doesn’t sell your data, show ads, or use analytics trackers.

What we collect

  • Account details: your email address, your name if you give one, and your password in hashed form. If you sign in with Google, we receive your basic Google profile instead of a password.
  • Portfolio content: the text, images, and settings you add, and anything you upload.
  • Vercel connection: if you connect Vercel, your account name, the IDs Vercel gives us, and an access token. The token is encrypted, stays on our server, and is never sent to your browser.
  • Deployment records: your site’s project name, address, and deployment history.
  • Technical logs: our hosting providers keep standard request logs to run and protect the service.

Your CV

When you import a CV, it’s read in memory on our server to fill in your portfolio, then discarded. The import doesn’t store the file.

What’s public

Only what you publish is public. Drafts stay private, and your account email isn’t shown on your published portfolio unless you add it yourself.

Why we use it

We use your data to provide the service you asked for, keep it secure, and send account emails such as confirmation and password reset. We don’t send marketing emails.

Cookies

Portify only uses cookies it needs: one set to keep you signed in, and a short-lived one that protects the Vercel connection step. There’s no cookie banner because there are no advertising or analytics cookies.

Who processes your data

  • Supabase: database, sign-in, and file storage.
  • Vercel: hosting for Portify, and for independent websites on your own account.
  • Google: delivery of account emails, and Google sign-in if you use it.

These providers may process data outside your country. We don’t sell your data or share it with anyone else, unless the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account exists. When you delete a portfolio, or we delete your account, its content and uploaded files are removed. Provider logs and backups expire on their own schedules. A website on your own Vercel account is yours to remove.

Your choices

You can edit or delete your portfolios from your dashboard, and disconnect Vercel at any time. To get a copy of your data, correct it, or delete your account, reply to any email Portify has sent you. We’ll confirm the request came from you, then act on it. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to object to how your data is used or to complain to your data protection authority.

Children

Portify isn’t meant for children under 16, and we don’t knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We’ll update the date above when this policy changes, and tell you by email if a change matters to you.
